Dolphins news: Malik Willis’s play in the spotlight
A collection of Miami Dolphins news from around the web focused on Malik Willis’s play.
Miami Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley firmly reaffirmed Malik Willis as their starting quarterback, dismissing any notion of benching him during the team's five-game losing streak. Despite Willis's struggles with decision-making and field vision, Hafley emphasized that the coach had observed encouraging moments from the first-year starter.
The coach highlighted flashes of improvement, particularly Willis's aggressive and comfortable demeanor during crucial moments of the game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hafley stressed that while Willis needs to improve, the team collectively requires better performance. The upcoming bye week will focus on film study and adjustments, with the coaching staff aiming to bolster the team's chances when they return in Week 7.
