Dodgers face nightmare scenario after Brewers deliver another crushing NLCS blow
It was a tough trip to Milwaukee for the back-to-back World Series Champions
The Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in a dire predicament following the Milwaukee Brewers' dominant performance in the National League Championship Series. With a 2-0 lead, Milwaukee has effectively eliminated any chance of a comeback for the two-time defending World Series champions. The Brewers' bullpen played a crucial role in securing their advantage, allowing only 15 Los Angeles hits over the final five innings.
William Contreras was the star for the Brewers, contributing three hits and three RBIs, including a game-tying home run and the go-ahead single. Despite Yoshinobu Yamamoto's brief appearance, he was unable to stem the tide, as Milwaukee continued to apply pressure after his departure. The Dodgers now face a daunting task in the upcoming Game 3 at home, where they will need to overcome a significant deficit to reach the World Series, a goal they have achieved only once since 1982.
