CDA Extends Bidding Deadline for Rs. 3.2 Billion Project in Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has granted an additional 15 days to companies bidding for the Rs. 3.2 billion Capital House project in Islamabad. Originally set for the first week of October, the deadline was moved to October 12 and extended once more to October 27. The CDA aims to construct Capital House in Diplomatic Enclave, akin to the existing provincial houses of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan. This facility will offer comprehensive accommodation and related services in a single location.

According to the original PC-I, the project is anticipated to be finished within two years. Initial proposals envision approximately 100 rooms, ranging in category, alongside amenities akin to a four-star hotel. However, as the project will be undertaken using the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model, the ultimate design, room count, and facilities will be finalized during the procurement phase.

CDA Director General Infrastructure Haider Ali disclosed that the extension was approved at the request of interested bidders who required more time to finalize their designs and technical proposals. He added that the authority will review the submitted designs and financial bids before awarding the contract in line with the relevant procurement rules.
