Canada Warns Pakistanis Against Visa and eTA Scams

The High Commission of Canada to Pakistan has issued a public warning against immigration fraud, cautioning that no individual or organization has the power to guarantee approval of a Canadian visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). The advisory highlighted that scammers may reach out to people via email, phone calls, or text messages, falsely claiming the ability to secure Canadian visas or eTAs.

Emphasizing the fraudulent nature of these promises, the High Commission urged individuals to exercise caution and refrain from engaging with anyone offering guaranteed immigration approvals.

For guidance on safeguarding oneself from immigration fraud and scams, the High Commission directed people to the official Canadian government website. An important reminder was shared with the public: no one can guarantee a visa or eTA, and any contact suggesting otherwise is a scam. The post addressed the need for individuals to learn how to identify fraudulent offers and to avoid falling prey to those who exploit people's desire to travel to Canada.
