Apple unveiled the HomePod mini 2 alongside Siri AI at a recent event, but the AI assistant won't be available on the device's launch day. According to Apple's website and press release, Siri AI will be accessible via a software update after the HomePod mini 2 hits stores on October 30. Siri AI is touted for its ability to provide natural conversations, richer answers, and smart home control, all while maintaining user privacy.
The product will arrive two weeks before HomeView and Apple TV 4K, both of which will support Siri AI from the start. While Apple's decision to launch these devices separately with Siri AI support is unclear, it remains to be seen when HomePod mini 2 will receive the same treatment.
