APGA backs Soludo’s appointment to APC presidential campaign council

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has expressed its support for the appointment of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, to President Bola Tinubu's Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election. The revised list, which includes members such as Nyesom Wike, Ademola Adeleke, Sheriff Oborevwori, Babatunde Fashola, and Festus Keyamo, was released to journalists on Tuesday.

According to an APGA statement, Soludo's inclusion is a reflection of his leadership, commitment to progressive ideals, and advocacy for a partnership between APGA and the Federal Government. The party views this as a statement of historical truth, given APGA's status as the first truly progressive party in Nigeria. Soludo's approach, dubbed 'Progressives are Working Together', aligns with the party's ideology and has already brought benefits to Anambra State through federal collaboration on infrastructure and economic development.

The APGA National Working Committee has formally adopted President Tinubu as their consensus candidate for the 2027 election, and while APGA will not field a presidential candidate, they remain committed to supporting Tinubu and APGA candidates at the senatorial, parliamentary, and state assembly levels in Anambra.
