Ninety-eight small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have successfully completed the MTN-NOVA Business School Mini Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme in Ghana. The program, a collaboration between MTN Ghana and NOVA Business School Africa, aimed to enhance the financial management and digitalization skills of participating businesses.
Senior Manager for SME Sales, Partnership and Business Broadband, Mohamed Abubakar Sadiq, stated that the program was designed to equip entrepreneurs with strategic skills necessary for transitioning from survival mode to sustainable growth. The 13-week program covered essential business practices, proper bookkeeping, and the adoption of digital technologies.
The initiative was launched following six SME clinics that identified areas where participating businesses required additional support. The 98 graduates were divided into three cohorts comprising male, female, and mixed entrepreneurs. Professor Mathew Tsamenyi, the President and CEO of NOVA Business School Africa, emphasized the role of private enterprises in Ghana's economic development and pledged continued support for the graduates.
He urged them to apply the acquired knowledge and skills to transform their businesses. NOVA Business School Africa's graduation marked the beginning of a lasting relationship with the entrepreneurs, with the school committed to building an alumni community to support their growth and development.
