4 rakan didakwa subahat, bunuh penjual durian

Four men were brought before the Bandar Baru Bangi High Court on charges of murder and robbery, following the discovery of a durian vendor's body buried in Semenyih, Selangor, last month. Asrul Siwi, 32, Amirul Maamur Rosli, 27, Amri Rizani Darus, 36, and Rijal Haryono, 47, appeared before Judge Saira Banu Mohamed Ashrof Raja. No pleas were recorded due to the case falling under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

Asrul and Amirul Maamur are accused of murdering Mulialisman Nordi, 34, at Batu 28, Sungai Lalang, Mukim Ulu Semenyih, Hulu Langat, between September 24 and 25 last year. The charges stem from Section 302 of the Penal Code, combined with Section 34 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which prescribes a penalty of death or imprisonment for 30 to 40 years, with a minimum sentence of 12 years.

The other two defendants, Amri Rizani and Rijal, are charged with abetting Asrul and Amirul Maamur in the murder, including aiding in the escape of the victim and assisting in the disposal of the body. They are also charged under Section 109 of the Penal Code, which carries a similar penalty if found guilty. The prosecution was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Atiqah Mohamad Alias, and none of the accused were represented by lawyers.

The court did not grant bail to any of the defendants, and set the next hearing for September 1. On September 29, local media reported that the victim was allegedly killed after a group of individuals arrived in a Honda car from a car workshop in Ampang Waterfront, Ampang Jaya, before his body was found buried in Semenyih.
