2027: Benue coalition pledges support for Tinubu’s re-election

A coalition in Benue State has pledged to work alongside political parties to mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections, according to Punch Nigeria and Punch.

Separately, human rights activist and national coordinator of the Tinubu Must Go movement, Abba Hikima, announced the withdrawal of his planned support for certain All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Hikima made this decision in a statement published on Facebook, citing the aspirants' perceived happiness regarding the alleged oppression of citizens and their support for oppressive leaders.

Hikima did not identify the specific aspirants affected by this decision, though he stated that anyone supporting leaders accused of oppressing the public should be held accountable.
