Houthi forces launched a deadly strike against Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport on Saturday, causing chaos among passengers, including Umrah pilgrims, awaiting their flights. The attack resulted in 13 fatalities and over 300 injuries, as reported by Saudi authorities.
On Sunday, the situation at the airport worsened when a second explosion caused a fire, leading to further injuries. These strikes come amid intensified fighting in Yemen, with Saudi Arabia ramping up its military campaign against Houthi forces in recent weeks. The escalating confrontations have prompted threats of additional attacks from both sides.
A video obtained by Al Arabiya English captured the moment of the Saturday assault, showcasing the harrowing scene as passengers scrambled to safety. The footage underscores the gravity of the situation and the toll of the ongoing conflict on the Saudi Arabian capital's vital transportation hub.
