The USWNT is playing No. 1 Spain in Emma Hayes' biggest test yet
When is the next USWNT game? We've got that answer.
The United States Women's National Team (USWNT) faces off against the No. 1 ranked Spain in a high-stakes match. This encounter represents Emma Hayes' most challenging test to date. The USWNT secured a 6-0 victory over Paraguay and a 5-0 win against Chile in their most recent games. However, they fall to Spain in their preliminary match, 2-0, at Audi Field in Washington on Saturday.
Spain scored early with goals from Patri and Eva Navarro. Despite equalizing opportunities, the USWNT couldn't manage to convert their chances. The USWNT and Spain squared off just five times in the past, with Spain emerging victorious in the last two meetings. The USWNT's next games include matches against El Salvador on October 13, Texas on November 27, and Spain again on October 10.
