The International Amateur Photographer of the Year award (APOY) invites non-professional photographers worldwide to submit their best landscape photos for a chance to win a substantial prize pool of $32,000/£24,000. Amateur Photographer Magazine hosts the annual competition, which consists of ten themed rounds, each offering unique opportunities to win prizes. The seventh round, LANDSCAPES, is open for entries until November 9th, 2026.
Landscape photography demands patience and skill, as the best images go beyond simply capturing a scene. They transport viewers into the atmosphere, scale, and emotion of a fleeting moment, all influenced by the power of light. Entry remains free for photographers aged 13-21 in the Young Photographer of the Year competition.
