KOTA KINABALU, Oct 12 — Six people, comprising three children, were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Jalan Bundusan in Penampang this morning, according to the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM). The serious injuries were sustained by a 37-year-old woman behind the wheel of a Perodua Axia, as well as an eight-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl, while an infant sustained minor injuries.

JBPM received an emergency call at 6.49am, prompting a team of ten personnel from the Penampang Fire and Rescue Station to be dispatched to the scene, where they arrived at 7.10am. Initial medical attention was provided by the fire crew before all victims were transported to the hospital for further care via the department's Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle and a Ministry of Health (MOH) ambulance.

The operation, supported by police and MOH personnel, was completed at 7.57am after the scene was deemed safe and under control.
