Saudi airstrikes hit multiple locations across Yemen, Houthi media reports

Houthi media reports that Saudi warplanes carried out airstrikes on multiple locations in Yemen early Tuesday local time. According to Middle East Eye, the strikes ranged from the Harf Sufyan district in Amran governorate to al-Qanawis district and Kamaran island in the al-Hodeidah governorate.

The strikes follow a series of Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including a strike on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 10, 2026, and a Saturday attack at the facility that killed 13 people, according to Free Malaysia Today. Following the Saturday incident, U.S. President Donald Trump stated he was considering joining Saudi strikes against the group.

Free Malaysia Today and Japan Today report that a Houthi official warned on Monday that the U.S. would receive a "painful response" if it entered the war in Yemen.

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk condemned the recent Houthi attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia, noting that attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are prohibited under international humanitarian law, according to Saudi Gazette. Semafor reports that Saudi Arabia's efforts to attract foreign investment and tourism are facing setbacks due to the crisis, noting that the main airport is closed and some governments have advised against traveling to the kingdom.
