Pakistan Launches Major Talent Hunt for Women’s Hockey

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has initiated a comprehensive training and talent identification camp for 150 female hockey players nationwide at the Islamabad Sports Complex. Under the guidance of experienced Dutch coaches Richard Snijder and Robert Justus, the players are being evaluated for selection to Pakistan's senior and junior women's national teams.

PHF spokesperson revealed that the camp is focused on intensive training, rigorous screening, and thorough evaluation of players. The assessment encompasses technical skills, physical fitness, tactical understanding, and overall playing potential. In addition to training, the players are receiving personalized guidance and mentoring from the Dutch coaches throughout the duration of the camp.

The federation expressed that this initiative serves multiple purposes: identifying promising players, bolstering the national talent pool, and fostering the long-term development of women's hockey in Pakistan.
