OnePlus 16 to Feature Dedicated Chip for Reducing Lag in Online Gaming

OnePlus is set to launch the OnePlus 16, a gaming-focused flagship device, on October 12. The phone will feature a dedicated G3 e-sports network chip designed to minimize latency and maintain a stable connection during fast-paced multiplayer gaming. This chip, developed in-house by OnePlus, works in tandem with an anti-interference e-sports antenna that promises a more reliable signal even when the device is gripped tightly during gameplay.

The OnePlus 16 is also rumored to come with a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE X4 display capable of reaching 185Hz refresh rates, paired with a 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate. These high refresh rates, combined with low latency, should provide a smoother gaming experience. Under the hood, the device is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme 6 chipset and boast a large 9,000mAh battery for extended gaming sessions.

Other anticipated features include a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide and periscope telephoto cameras with 3x optical zoom, a 50MP front camera, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and various IP protection ratings.
