My pastor is from Nigeria — Nicki Minaj

Rapper Nicki Minaj explained on X Takeover that her Nigerian pastor inspired her to speak about the alleged persecution of Christians in her home country. During the event at Tesla’s Giga Texas facility in Austin, Texas, the influential artist discussed her personal connection to Nigeria and urged more celebrities and influencers to address violence against Christians in Nigeria.

Minaj expressed concern over the lack of public attention on the issue and questioned why more people weren't speaking out about the brutal treatment of Christians in the country. "For Nigeria personally, my pastor is from Nigeria, so I have a link to Nigeria because of him," she stated. Minaj, who calls her fans "Barbz," believes that more prominent figures should use their platforms to raise awareness about the situation.

She expressed hope that more celebrities and influencers would join the cause, stating, "I’m hoping that more celebrities or people, influencers, I’m hoping that they come aboard the train to start speaking out about what’s happening to Christians in Nigeria."
