Mastantuono named Fiorentina’s player of the month in September
Good signs for the youngster out on loan
On October 8, 2026, Fiorentina announced that on-loan Argentine player Franco Mastantuono has been named their Player of the Month for September 2026. The 19-year-old, who had a difficult time at Real Madrid last season, has been impressing in Serie A. Mastantuono was voted the most-voted player of the month on InViola for his outstanding performances.
Since joining Fiorentina, he has scored a historic hat-trick, provided two assists, and shown great skill in attacking midfield and wing positions. Compared to other attacking midfielders and wingers with similar playing time, Mastantuono ranks in the top 88th percentile for carries into the final third and 82nd percentile for take-ons won per 90.
Although a return to Real Madrid may be difficult, this recognition highlights his growing confidence during his loan spell. Fiorentina faces a challenging schedule ahead, including matches against Como, Inter, and Atalanta.
