As the penultimate day of the 2026 AFL trade period approaches, the North Melbourne club is inching closer to securing the signature of Sydney star Nick Blakey. Earlier today, the Lions requested a late trade to the Bombers after receiving positive news about Coleman's decision to be traded to the Bombers. Despite a day of little movement on Blakey's transfer, reports suggest North Melbourne has significantly upgraded its offer to Sydney, including a pick six this year, a 2028 first-round selection, and possibly a 2027 second-round pick.
