Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express replaces blankets with floral comforters in First AC

Eastern Railway (ER) has upgraded the First AC coaches of the Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express for the Durga Puja festive season. Instead of blankets, passengers will now enjoy floral comforters in their seats. This change aims to enhance the travel experience and ensure hygiene for passengers. The floral comforters will be washed and sanitized after every round trip to maintain cleanliness.

The Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, also known as the Kolkata Rajdhani Express, is India's first Rajdhani Express and has been running since March 3, 1969. It has undergone several upgrades, now featuring Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches for a more comfortable journey.
