Public and private schools, colleges, and universities in three Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) districts—Swabi, Mardan, and Nowshera—will be closed on Monday, October 12, according to district administration notifications. The closures come as a result of the emergency declaration in KP and the prevailing conditions.
In Swabi, the deputy commissioner and District Education Officer have ordered all educational institutions to suspend activities for the day, highlighting the current situation. Similarly, Mardan deputy commissioner has declared a holiday for all educational establishments in the district on October 12. All examinations and papers scheduled for the day have been cancelled under the district's directives.
In Nowshera, Deputy Commissioner Gohar Zaman has issued comparable instructions, resulting in the closure of public and private educational institutions and the suspension of teaching activities. Examinations scheduled for Monday have also been cancelled.
The notifications specifically mention closures for October 12 and do not provide revised dates for the cancelled examinations in Mardan and Nowshera. For scholarships from around the world, readers are directed to EduNation.
