Dubai: The contemporary fragrance house Hamidi, rooted in Arabic perfumery traditions, unveiled its innovative Close to Skin concept at a wellness event in IMMERSEE, The Sustainable City. This experience aimed to redefine fragrance as a morning ritual rather than an evening luxury. Guests participated in a curated yoga session, sensorial sound experience, and interactive layering of scents.
The central element was The Hamidi Art of Layering, demonstrated through the Scent Rituals Kit. This kit guided participants through five stages - Move, Reset, Discover, Layer, and Personalise - to create a bespoke scent tailored to their skin. The experience included four fragrances: Alya and Maysara Eau de Parfum, Gulnar and Samaa Concentrated Perfume Oils.
These fragrances, rooted in Arabic perfumery with clean, non-alcoholic formulations, showcased traditional materials like oud, rose, amber, and fresh citrus. A Make Your Own Perfume Oil station allowed guests to create a personalized 10 ml perfume oil. The morning also featured wellness shots, branded coconuts, and Hamidi gifting.
The Scent Rituals Kit will be available from December 2026, expanding Hamidi’s vision to integrate fragrances into daily self-care routines globally.
