GTA 6 is sold out on Amazon despite being a digital-only game
'Grand Theft Auto VI,' a game that does not come on a disc, is partially sold out on Amazon.
Grand Theft Auto VI, also known as GTA 6, has been sold out on Amazon despite being a digital-only game. This lack of availability has been reported on Reddit and confirmed by Mashable. Physical copies of the game, including versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, are currently listed as unavailable on Amazon. The PS5 version has since been restocked, but the Xbox version remains out of stock.
The game can only be pre-ordered physically through Amazon by purchasing a box that contains a download code, rather than a physical disc. This has led to speculation about why a digital-only game would sell out, but the explanation lies in the nature of how Amazon handles pre-orders for GTA 6. Other pre-order options are available, such as directly through the Xbox digital storefront on a console or on the Rockstar Games website.
