Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Javon Hargrave suffered a severe non-contact injury late in the game against the Chicago Bears. The veteran player was brought off the field on a cart and taken to the locker room for further examination. Following the match, head coach Matt LaFleur disclosed that early assessments suggested Hargrave had sustained a season-ending Achilles injury, marking a significant career-altering blow for the two-time Pro Bowler.
The Green Bay Packers officially confirmed the devastating news on October 23, 2025. The American football star was rushed to surgery, potentially altering his career trajectory. Hargrave's absence will force the Packers to rely on backup defenders Devonte Wyatt, Karl Brooks, rookie third-round pick Chris McClellan, and possibly rookie first-round pick Anthony Campbell.
The team will also have to deal with the loss of a $15.25 million cap charge and $10 million in cap space, with $5.25 million in dead cap consequences.
