Google just announced the new Fitbit Edge — how to preorder before the launch on Oct. 27

In October 2026, Google introduced the Fitbit Edge, a fitness tracker that bridges the gap between simplicity and advanced features. The device can be preordered starting from October 27, with a launch price of $179.99. It comes with Google Health Premium for three months.

The Fitbit Edge features a vibrant 1.34-inch AMOLED color display and weighs a mere 17.7 grams without the band. Its slim profile measures just 11.58 mm. The watch face is the largest and brightest ever seen on a Fitbit. Google claims the battery can last up to 7 days, with a quick 90-minute recharge providing an additional day of use.

A standout feature of the Fitbit Edge is its replaceable battery. Unlike its predecessor, the Fitbit Air, the Edge also includes an onboard altimeter, tracking the floors climbed and providing elevation information. GPS is another unique addition, enabling users to track their runs, walks, and bike rides without relying on their smartphone's GPS.

The IP68 waterproof rating makes the Fitbit Edge suitable for swimming, rainy runs, and shower use. Like the other Fitbit models, it comes with the Google Health Coach, which offers sleep tracking metrics and other insights. The device ships with the silicone Active Band, designed for breathability through large cutouts, but it can be swapped for options like the Performance Loop band or elevated Metal Links and Magnet bands, providing a more watch-like appearance. Special Stephen Curry edition of the Fitbit Edge is also available for preorder at $219.99.
