The Benazir Bhutto General Hospital has recently launched an emergency dialysis center, adding five machines specifically for patients requiring urgent treatment. This center aims to provide critical patients with timely care, eliminating the need to wait for routine dialysis arrangements. In addition to this, the hospital has expanded its Urology Department by incorporating two new operation theatres, bringing the total to three.
These theatres, funded through a donation from Haji Naeem of Savour Foods, are designed to reduce the waiting time for surgical patients. Furthermore, the hospital is currently constructing a public facilitation hall with support from the Dr Aslam Foundation. This facility, set to be the first of its kind, will assist patients and their attendants by providing guidance on various treatments and hospital services, thereby improving access to healthcare.
Dr Sharjeel Sarfraz Sheikh, the Medical Superintendent of BBGH, emphasized that the facility will enhance the overall healthcare experience at the hospital.
