Bears vs Packers: Bomb’s Away
The Packers demolished the Bears. @gridironborn and @wiltfongjr break it down here.
In a lopsided matchup at Lambeau Field, the Green Bay Packers dismantled the Chicago Bears with a final score of 31 to 7. Quarterback Jordan Love had an exceptional game, throwing for over 400 yards and two touchdowns, including a 66.9-yard strike to Christian Watson. This marked one of the longest completed passes in the NFL since NextGenStats began tracking such statistics in 2016.
The Bears conceded 14 points in the first quarter and 14 more in the second, leaving them trailing 14 to 0 by halftime. Head coach Ben Johnson expressed his frustration to ESPN 1000, using profane language akin to many fans. The Bears' defensive performance was notably weak, struggling to pressure Love or cover effectively. Analysts suggest this loss could lead to potential roster changes, possibly even a trade involving key defensive players who returned from the PUP list.
The Bears' performance in this game was far from balanced, as indicated by the focus on Love's performance during the highlight reel.
