Avalanche Set for Rare Home-and-Home Goalie Comparison Against the Stars
We will likely get more questions than answers against the Dallas Stars!
Colorado Avalanche are set to face the Dallas Stars twice in a back-to-back home and home series this season. With both starters, Scott Wedgewood and MacKenzie Blackwood, called upon, the goalie room will face scrutiny. The decision on which goalie starts in these pivotal games could send ripples through the team's dynamics. If Blackwood falters, his value and contract may be impacted, making him a potentially tradeable target.
In contrast, if Wedgewood takes the starting role, he could command a higher price tag, possibly even above Blackwood's current AAV. The team's performance in these games will be crucial in determining the future of both goalies, with the home game potentially showcasing Wedgewood's skill set.
