Atiku, El-Rufai raise the alarm over abduction of Kaduna family

In a chilling incident, a family of four - Ahmed Abubakar Zakka, his wife, and their infant daughter - were abducted from their home in Millennium City, Kaduna State. The kidnappers, whose identity remains unknown, demanded a hefty ransom of N300 million for their release. The family's ordeal was captured in a harrowing video that surfaced on social media, showing Zakka pleading for help while his wife and child held tightly.

The former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, responded to the harrowing incident, condemning the abduction and calling for the immediate release of the hostages. He emphasized the distressing impact of such incidents on the safety and well-being of Nigerians, urging the government to take decisive action to secure the release of the family and others held in captivity.

Atiku's plea came amid growing concerns over the rising trend of kidnappings in various parts of the country, including the recent attack in Millennium City. Kaduna North lawmaker Mohammed Bello El-Rufai also expressed his outrage over the incident, stressing the urgent need for government intervention to curb such criminal activities.

He called for intensified security measures and a concerted effort to rescue the abducted family and prevent further attacks in the region. As of the time of reporting, the Kaduna State Police Command had yet to provide an update on the matter, leaving Zakka, his wife, and their infant daughter still held captive, their future uncertain.
