Allen Frye remaining humble after UFC Vegas 122 victory
Allen Frye is coming off a dominant UFC win, but is remaining grounded.
LAS VEGAS - Allen Frye acknowledges the doubt and disappointment following his initial UFC appearance but anticipates his impressive second outing will change minds. At UFC Fight Night 290 on Saturday at Meta APEX, Frye (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) secured a first-round TKO victory over RJ Harris (6-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC). Frye expressed his elation, stating that despite initial struggles, it felt great to secure the finish.
Frye, 28, made his debut in December but lost a lackluster unanimous decision to Guilherme Pat, which served as a valuable learning experience. The key takeaway was to be present and focused in the moment, not getting overwhelmed by potential outcomes. Frye emphasized that in MMA, you can only control the present. Despite a .500 promotional record, Frye remains humble and focused on delivering a first-round finish, keeping the fans and matchmakers engaged.
