Vijay extends wishes for International Day of the Girl Child

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay expressed his well wishes for International Day of the Girl Child on Sunday, as observed by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). In his message, Mr. Vijay highlighted the beauty of girl children and the joy their innocent smiles bring to families. He emphasized that the spirit of playfulness exhibited by young girls adds to the beauty of nature.

The Chief Minister stated that the birth of a girl child signifies the presence of love, compassion, and strength within her. It is imperative to ensure that every girl child enjoys a healthy life, quality education, a safe environment, equal rights, and complete freedom, he noted. Mr. Vijay appealed to everyone to pledge their support in giving wings to the dreams of girl children, facilitating their progress, and building an inclusive society free from discrimination.
