Men trailing in plainclothes, warning from TTE: Why 2 CJP members from Jharkhand dropped Delhi plans

Men trailing in plainclothes, warning from TTE: Why 2 CJP members from Jharkhand dropped Delhi plans

Two CJP members from Jharkhand decided to cancel their trip to Delhi due to fears of being followed, filmed, and surveilled by plainclothes men. Khushboo Chaudhary, one of the members, was on her way to Delhi on October 8 when she noticed five to six individuals following her and recording her outside the Ranchi railway station.

Chaudhary claimed that these men appeared to be officials and that they continued to follow her as she boarded her train. When she boarded the train, she noticed that they had gathered together and were staring at her continuously. Chaudhary alleged that the men approached a travelling ticket examiner (TTE) and asked him about her and the coach she was traveling in.

The TTE reportedly informed her that these individuals were from the Centre and threatened her with detention. The TTE also said that a video of her had been circulated to railway stations. Chaudhary eventually got off the train at Bokaro and returned to Ranchi. Another CJP member, Moin Khan, also faced a similar incident where men in plainclothes were filming members of the group.

The Ranchi Senior Divisional Security Commissioner stated that they had no information about any such incident occurring in the Ranchi division.
