Is Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez playing today?
Will Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez suit up to play in Sunday's game against the Raiders?
New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez will not be participating in Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Coach Mike Vrabel has officially ruled him out, citing the same shoulder injury that kept him out of last week's matchup against the Buffalo Bills. On Friday, Gonzalez was present in the locker room but declined to provide further information about his injury.
Patriots coach Vrabel only confirmed that Gonzalez is out for Sunday's match, stating that it is "potentially the only thing" he can share. In addition to Gonzalez, the Patriots will also be without Carlton Davis III, Karon Prunty, and Channing Canada, leaving significant uncertainties at the cornerback position for their Week 5 game against the Raiders. The injury's nature and an estimated return date for Gonzalez remain unclear.
