Head coach Gennaro Gattuso expressed disappointment with Lazio's performance after their 3-1 victory over Monza, stating that it resembled their second-half display against Milan. Despite securing their joint-top position in the Serie A table with 16 points from six matches, Gattuso acknowledged that his team struggled with mentality and attitude during the second half.
He highlighted issues with second balls and poor defending, particularly mentioning Romano and Belahyane. Gattuso emphasized the need for improvement in these areas rather than relying on managing the game from a lead. He maintained that Lazio will continue to progress by addressing these issues and progressing day by day.
