Fans pack Wissahickon Brewing Company to cheer on Birds across the Atlantic

Fans filled Wissahickon Brewing Company in East Falls to support the Eagles during their international game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars. While the outcome left many disappointed, the atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and camaraderie. Ian Levengood of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, expressed his frustration, saying, "This is like a knife in the gut.

The Phillies suck. The Eagles suck. This is terrible." Fellow fan Celia Flores-Rivera echoed similar sentiments, confessing, "We were just celebrating. We were so close. We were so close. We were so close."

Despite the early morning rain and the outcome of the game, Eagles supporters remained determined to cheer on their team. Luke Gill, co-owner of Wissahickon Brewing Company, noted, "Philly always shows up. It feels like London outside, but inside here, always such a great atmosphere." To further engage the crowd, Greg White of Wissahickon Brewing Company continued his tradition of hyping the crowd with a special banjo rendition of Fly Eagles Fly, the Eagles' fight song.

In Manayunk, JD McGillicuddy opened his establishment 3 hours early to accommodate the anticipated crowds. His watch party event, Kegs and Eggs, was created with the international game in mind. Fans attending the watch party shared their thoughts on the game, expressing disappointment but acknowledging the unique opportunity to cheer their team together. "We should have won that game; we should have stopped that block. We shouldn't have let them get close enough to win the game at the last second," said Alex Rivera.

While fans were unhappy with the result, there was a sense of optimism that the Eagles would bounce back. The team is set to return to South Philadelphia on October 18th, where they will face the Carolina Panthers.
