Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Renowned cricketers Sunil Gavaskar, affectionately called the 'Little Master', and former Indian cricketer and administrator Sanjay Jagdale, known as 'Gattu Bhai' or 'Bade Sir', recently shared their cherished memories of early cricketing days during the launch of Sanjay Jagdale: Rag-Rag Mein Cricket in Indore.

The book, penned by Kiran Waikar and Dr Sunil Dudhale, recounts Jagdale's journey within the realm of Indian cricket, highlighting his roles as a former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary and selector. Gavaskar reminisced about their connection with the Central Zone school team, commending Jagdale's unwavering dedication to the sport.

Despite many talented players gravitating towards other professions post-retirement from cricket, Jagdale remained steadfastly committed to the game. Acknowledging the intensity of cricket, Gavaskar praised Jagdale's calm demeanor both on and off the field. With his characteristic humor, Jagdale quipped, "It is always challenging to follow Sunil Gavaskar's batting, whether on the pitch or on the podium."

Jagdale shared an anecdote about witnessing Gavaskar score a double century while he was fielding at slip, expressing awe at the legendary batter's extraordinary talent. Jagdale also reminisced about observing young Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly together at an under-15 camp in Indore in 1986, predicting Tendulkar's future success in cricket.
