The Guardians pulled off the reverse sweep against the Chicago White Sox and are headed to the ALCS. See the series schedule and how to buy tickets.
The Cleveland Guardians are advancing to the American League Championship Series (ALCS) after defeating the Chicago White Sox 2-0 in the decisive Game 5. Long-time star hitter Jose Ramirez and young star pitcher Gavin Williams have been instrumental in the Guardians' success. The ALCS, which will determine the team advancing to the World Series, is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 12 in Tampa Bay.
The Guardians will kick off the ALCS on the road, followed by hosting the Tampa Bay Rays in Games 3, 4, and possibly 5. Home-field advantage will be with the Rays, who will host Games 1 and 2 at the Trop. Ticket prices for the Guardians' home games and the Rays' home games range from $137 to $4,879, depending on the game and seating.
The Guardians' last World Series win was in 1948, and they are just two series victories away from ending their long championship drought. If the Guardians advance to the World Series, they will host Games 3, 4, and a hypothetical Game 5, as the National League winner will have home-field advantage.
