Braves News: Tarik Skubal rumor, ALCS matchup, more

The Braves made it clear they were not interested in trading Didier Fuentes to the Tigers for Tarik Skubal during the trade deadline. While some fans may have been let down by this decision, it makes sense given the team's reluctance to part with a 21-year-old pitcher who had just put up impressive numbers over 73.1 innings in his first full season in the majors.

The Braves clearly see Fuentes as an important part of their future, and it will be intriguing to observe how they plan to utilize his immense potential after yet another outstanding year in the bullpen. As for the Braves' rotation, there are still some question marks, making Fuentes' potential move to starting pitcher all the more exciting.

Meanwhile, the Guardians staged an incredible comeback, defeating the White Sox 2-0 in Game 5 of the ALDS, overcoming a 2-0 deficit. The impressive performance by Gavin Williams and Jose Ramirez's home run were crucial to their success. Lastly, Phillies' executive Sam Fuld passed on a chance to become the A's President of Baseball Operations.
