Al-Ahli coach Marino Pušić expressed confidence in his team's ability to secure a win against Al-Wasl in the upcoming second round of the AFC Champions League Elite stage. Pušić highlighted the team's impressive performance in their last match, where they triumphed over Al-Fateh with a scoreline of 4-0, and aims to capitalize on this momentum in their upcoming fixture against the UAE's Al-Wasl, who have a notable advantage when playing at home.
The Dutch coach underscored Al-Ahli's determination to claim their first victory in the tournament, a goal that aims to rectify their previous disappointing 1-1 draw against Uzbekistan's Pakhtakor at Al-Inma Stadium. Pušić confirmed that the team had arrived in Dubai two days prior to the match in order to finalize preparations and enhance player readiness.
He further emphasized that each match carries its own unique challenges, and the technical staff handle each game individually, always with a focus on the next engagement.
