"We ended up looking like a school team" – Burkardt slams Eintracht Frankfurt's performance in 6-0 defeat to Leipzig

Eintracht Frankfurt suffered a humbling 6-0 loss to RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena in the Bundesliga on Saturday, leading striker Jonathan Burkardt to express his disappointment. "I find it hard to accept a performance like that," Burkardt said in a post-match interview, according to Hessenschau. "The 6-0 defeat really hurts. I feel particularly sorry for the fans who travelled here and had to witness such a poor display," he added.

Burkardt lamented the team's lack of compactness, stating they lost every individual duel in defense and ended up resembling a school team. If the players do not shoulder responsibility, the club will face further challenges next week. The seasoned players also failed to deliver, according to Burkardt. The forward and his teammates are eager to recover when they take on 1. FC Köln on Friday.
