Watch South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers get into sideline spat before connecting for TD vs. Florida

In a chaotic stretch for South Carolina football following the Kentucky game, tensions erupted between quarterback LaNorris Sellers and wide receiver Mazeo Bennett Jr. on the sidelines before Sellers connected for a touchdown against Florida on Saturday. The altercation began with the two exchanging words, but their connection on the next play was seamless, resulting in a 12-yard touchdown that broke a 10-10 tie. Bennett covered 12 yards on the play, showcasing the duo's immediate chemistry.

The Gamecocks capitalized on the momentum, with Sellers adding another touchdown by connecting with Donovan Murph on a 26-yard strike, pushing South Carolina ahead 24-13. This performance, coupled with a key short-yardage touchdown from Sellers late in the game, solidified a 31-13 victory over Florida, who entered the match as a heavily favored 11.5-point favorite.

The victory dealt a blow to Florida's hopes of potentially clinching the SEC title or securing a playoff berth. South Carolina's resilient effort, buoyed by the return of star edge rusher Dylan Stewart from an indefinite suspension, demonstrated their status as an underdog still capable of dethroning top-ranked opponents. Despite the heated exchange that initially disrupted the Gamecocks' momentum, Sellers continued to shine, sealing the win with a 21-yard touchdown to Lex Cyrus, making the final score 38-13.
