Police stated the Proton Waja, traveling from Kota Baru towards Kuala Terengganu, skidded into the opposite lane and collided with a trailer lorry. Following the crash, the trailer also skidded, striking a Perodua Aruz multi-purpose vehicle, a Perodua Myvi, and a UDT lorry, all en route from Kota Baru to Kuala Terengganu. Both victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene and were subsequently sent to the Setiu Hospital forensics unit.
