Thugs attack NDC members in Enugu [VIDEO]

Tension erupted at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu on Saturday when thugs allegedly targeted members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), the report states. The NDC members were en route to greet their gubernatorial candidate when the violence erupted, according to the outlet. This incident follows a similar attack a month ago, where the NDC accused "state-sponsored thugs" of assaulting its members during a grassroots gathering in Obuoffia Ward of Nkanu West Local Government Area, the source adds.

Footage circulating on X shows the NDC members expressing concern as they claim they are being shot at and exposed to tear gas, the report details. They state, "They are shooting tear gas at us. This is under the watch of the police and army. We're running for our lives. We're at the Enugu International Airport here," the outlet quotes.

The NDC members are heard chanting, "The All Progressives Congress, APC, must go. Tinubu must go," as they flee the scene, the video footage captures.
