Stephen A. Smith believes the Philadelphia 76ers will win an NBA title. However, he is still taking shots at LeBron James for not being the GOAT.
Stephen A. Smith criticized the debate surrounding LeBron James' status as the GOAT, while predicting the Philadelphia 76ers to secure his fifth NBA championship. The 76ers, boasting an impressive starting lineup with James, are seen as favorites to win the Eastern Conference title. Their strong roster makes them one of the best teams in the NBA.
Following their preseason game against the New York Knicks, 76ers head coach Mike Brown expressed that assembling such a formidable team has made it more challenging for other franchises. Despite acknowledging James' potential to win his fifth championship with Philadelphia, Smith firmly stated that James will never surpass Michael Jordan's championship count. He firmly believes James is the second greatest player of all time, but he is not the GOAT.
