In a ceremony held on Level 118 of Menara Merdeka 118, Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman married popular singer and actress Bella Astillah. The emotional relief expressed by the newlyweds was a single lafaz of "Praise be to God." Despite Syed Saddiq's experience with intense parliamentary debates, the wedding morning brought new levels of nerves, with his hands shaking as he recited his vows.

Earlier, Syed Saddiq had admitted to thinking he was overconfident, but once the Akad Nikah was complete, everything settled down. Bella, born Dayang Ara Nabellah Awang Astillah, expressed her deep gratitude for the smooth ceremony and thanked her fans, known as BASS, for their unwavering support. The couple was married by former Federal Territories Mufti Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, and the all-white, Arabic and Islamic-themed ceremony was broadcast live.
