The highly anticipated film Ramayana Part 1, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Ravie Dubey, had a Navratri event in Ramtek, Maharashtra scheduled for October 11, 2026, which has been postponed. The event was meant to be attended by the film's cast and highlight the significance of Ramtek, a land sanctified by Lord Shri Ramchandra.
The cancellation was announced by MLA Ashish Jaiswal on Instagram, citing unavoidable reasons. Jaiswal also mentioned that Maharashtra is currently experiencing a severe drought, and the film's team discussed the possibility of helping farmers with the cast, to which they agreed. The promotion of the film's song was originally planned for the event, but its status remains uncertain as the makers haven't provided an update.
While the release date of the film is set for November 5, 2026, during the Diwali weekend, paid previews are planned for November 4, 2026.
