PSG ease to Ligue 1 win before Manchester City test

Paris Saint-Germain secured a comfortable 3-1 victory over Le Mans in Ligue 1 on Saturday, advancing to fifth place ahead of their challenging Champions League match against Manchester City. Despite resting several players due to a sluggish start to the season, PSG took the lead through Lucas Beraldo's spot kick in the first half.

Louis Mafouta equalized for Le Mans nine minutes after halftime, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia restored PSG's advantage just two minutes later, coming on as a substitute. Maghnes Akliouche secured the win seven minutes later. Meanwhile, Monaco faced a setback as they drew 2-2 with Toulouse at home, preventing them from extending their one-point lead at the top of the table.

Lille maintained their narrow one-point advantage over Monaco after a 1-0 home win against Le Havre.
