YouTuber Mark Goldbridge expressed his sadness over the impact Cristiano Ronaldo is having on his legacy. Ronaldo recently released a statement on Instagram explaining his decision to leave the Portugal national team camp before a Nations League match against Norway. Following Ronaldo's apology to his teammates, he was subsequently suspended by the Portuguese Football Federation.
Goldbridge commented, "Messi goes out to massive applause and respect, Ronaldo is tainting a legacy through his own doing, and that is very, very sad." The Portuguese Football Federation's president, Pedro Proença, confirmed that Ronaldo plans to return to the national team during the November international break.
