What I Built Isn't it astonishing to discover bird species you've never encountered before, or stumble upon flowers blooming in your hometown that you didn't know existed? Nature Hunt aims to provide just that experience, by showing you a list of birds, plants, and rocks based on the location you choose. The application motivates users to venture out and uncover these hidden treasures.

To try out Nature Hunt, visit the demo at nature-hunter.onrender.com. However, please note that this demo doesn't include the Gemma 3 gemma3:1b-it-q4_K_M open-weight model integrated. For those interested in exploring the project further, the GitHub repository is available at https://nature-hunter.onrender.com/.

Screenshots and images can be loaded using the application. The underlying technology powering this innovative tool includes SerpApi for image search based on user-provided location, Gemma 3 (gemma3:1b-it-q4_K_M) to provide explanations for the discovered items, React for the frontend, Ollama to run the Gemma model locally, Express.js for the server, and SerpApi for fetching the data that the open-weight model interprets and images that are displayed.
