MP's Aalirajpur BJP Faces Factionalism Questions As Senior Leaders Skip Minister Sampatiya Uikey's Programmes, Hemant Khandelwal Responds

Aalirajpur, a district in Madhya Pradesh, is facing questions about factionalism within the BJP district unit. Prominent leaders skipped Minister Sampatiya Uikey's official programs on Saturday, leading to speculation about the internal workings of the party's organization. State BJP president Hemant Khandelwal visited the district and was welcomed with enthusiasm, but cabinet minister Nagar Singh Chauhan, the regional MP, as well as several senior public representatives and mandal presidents, were notably absent from Uikey's events.

Uikey participated in a human rangoli event and reviewed projects under the Public Health Engineering Department.

When asked by journalists whether factionalism was affecting the district unit, Khandelwal initially avoided commenting but addressed the issue during a later press conference. The BJP, he emphasized, is a vast organization with millions of people, and while small disagreements may arise, everyone remains united. However, the leaders' absence from Uikey's programs has sparked discussion about the district BJP unit's internal coordination. The party has not issued a formal statement on the alleged differences.

The incident has also led to other developments in the region. In Indore, 7 police officers, including the police station in-charge, have been suspended for assaulting BJP workers who were displaying their political influence.
